Coming Soon to the Moore!

I never listened to these guys back when they were semi-big. All I know about them is that they're from Georgia and they take their name from some line from The Fountainhead, Ayn Rand's hilarious novel about architecture. In Rand-world, everybody acts like architecture really, really matters. In fact, the city's architecture critic, Ellsworth Toohey, is one of the most powerful guys around. But he's no match for the intense mega-genius, Howard Roarke. He's a man of vision who designs some very ugly buildings. Yeah, they're uncompromisingly ugly. Men (except Ellsworth Toohey) want to be like him, women want to be with him. Like so many children's books, The Fountainhead's message is just be yourself. Like everything Ayn Rand espoused, it's completely ridiculous. Anyhow, this has nothing to do with Collective Soul. I just figured that since I don't know anything about them, I would make fun of Ayn Rand for a while. And I just did.

The only time she should be mentioned is in jest.
