McGuire Scaffold-Watch! Week: ???? + 19

Do you detect a subtle change to the scaffold's alignment and whatnot? Neither do I. I don't even hear the loud mechanical toiling of the dwarf army. Perhaps they're mourning the defeat of Seattle's tubby patron saint, Greg Nickels. In case you haven't heard, Greg appears to be out of the mayor's race. Belltown gets a new mayor! Other, less important neighborhoods, too! One thing about Nickels: despite his ungainliness, he sure did show up in Belltown a lot. It was just about every other week when he'd be here on some fact-finding mission or expedition to locate cheap tequila shots and pork sliders. Even though he was kind of a crappy mayor, I'll miss His Bulkiness. He made it possible for developers to build taller, skinnier buildings. Ironic, ain't it, because Nickels was neither tall nor skinny. A fella can dream, can't he?

It's now down to two guys whose last names begin with M. Uh, Melanoma? Mallethead? McGurn? McGiddyup? Oh, that's right, Mallahan and McGinn. One's an OK guy and the other is a shill - or the other way around. So yes, the dwarf army laments for poor large Greg. No work gets done today.
