After Hours

Red Army Choir. Song of the Volga Boatmen

OK, here are your production values from the world's gayest bunch of straight guys. You know, I don't question the Red Army Choir's talent, energy or revolutionary fervor. It's just that they're really predictable. At some point, you know they're gonna freak out and sing super-loud. They hit that mark at 1:57, continue for a minute and a half and end with the solo bass once again lip-synching quizzically into the camera. The shots of the Volga are nice, but I still prefer Boris in front of his curtain. That one's for the ages. This version is good; it's just not genuine.
