Have you not been listening to a lot of music featuring the mridangam lately? Well, here's you chance to get back on the path of mridangam righteousness. This Zakir Hussain fellow is quite the percussionist. He's bringing his merry band to the Moore to present an evening of South Asian music. All your favorite instruments will be there: the sarangi, the dholak and, as previously mentioned, the mridangam. Of course, if you hate any of these instruments, you probably won't enjoy this concert at all.

The strange thing about Zakir Hussain is that he's recorded an album (or at least a track) with just about every major recording artist who's inclined to experiment this way. He truly gets around.
