I guess they tore the UA Theater down for a reason. Let's hope it's a good one. I loved that theater. I guess that at long last actual human beings will live on Belltown's portion of 6th Ave.

Seattle is quite a beautiful city, no doubt about that. The Belltown neighborhood doesn’t swing that way. Much of it is downright hideously ugly. If not for all that ugliness, there’d be nothing to see. I’ve lived here for 20 years and I’ve only just started taking notice. Please join me on this odyssey of unsightliness as we try to figure out why poor Belltown looks so bad.

Ah yes; enjoyed that theater too.
Another think I'll miss is the blackberry bushes I saw resurect themselves after numerous eradication attempts, season after season. I enjoyed their cycles as I walked from 1st Avenue to Whole Foods via Blanchard Street. The bushes were best seen when looking toward the back of Top Pot Donuts as you passed what is now 'the big hole". May those bushes R.I.P. ... or will they re-emerge?
