Seattle is quite a beautiful city, no doubt about that. The Belltown neighborhood doesn’t swing that way. Much of it is downright hideously ugly. If not for all that ugliness, there’d be nothing to see. I’ve lived here for 20 years and I’ve only just started taking notice. Please join me on this odyssey of unsightliness as we try to figure out why poor Belltown looks so bad.

New Place!
OK, I generally don't notice things, but I'm pretty sure this place just recently opened. It's at 1st & Battery in a space that's been vacant for several years. The past occupants have been pretty classy operations, but, judging from the cartoon logo, this appears to be quite a bit down-market. That's not a bad thing at all. It might not be Shiro's - that's around the corner - but it looks like it's worth a try.
