Seattle is quite a beautiful city, no doubt about that. The Belltown neighborhood doesn’t swing that way. Much of it is downright hideously ugly. If not for all that ugliness, there’d be nothing to see. I’ve lived here for 20 years and I’ve only just started taking notice. Please join me on this odyssey of unsightliness as we try to figure out why poor Belltown looks so bad.

Hey! Goats!
When I was walking back from lunch last Wednesday, I caught this intriguing sight: Those are goats, all right. And as you can see, they're right under the viaduct around Blanchard St. Goats in Belltown, how exciting.
No one wearing a robe and sporting a shepherd's crook? I feel robbed somehow. More practically, perhaps, they may well have been temporarily imported for some brush-clearing duty. I think I've read that goats can be hired in the area for that.
OMG! This news merits being on the front page of the Seattle Times. Seriously. Goats ... just two blocks from where I live.
