Golly, I didn't even know who these guys were when they were famous the first time. Apparently, they got play on Party of Five. Yeah, that's how long ago their initial surge was. Come to think of it, I have heard these guys' music. I'm pretty sure that everyone, old and young, has heard "Drops of Jupiter." The only thing is that I really hate that tune with its naive sincerity, faux intensity and completely overblown production. It's like listening to Creed barfing. Do not like. But you can like them. Really, go ahead. It'll make up for me not liking them, OK?
Seattle is quite a beautiful city, no doubt about that. The Belltown neighborhood doesn’t swing that way. Much of it is downright hideously ugly. If not for all that ugliness, there’d be nothing to see. I’ve lived here for 20 years and I’ve only just started taking notice. Please join me on this odyssey of unsightliness as we try to figure out why poor Belltown looks so bad.
