Still there, and not going anywhere! I was going for a sort of "modern" look to this shot, emphasizing the angular and impersonal. It works out pretty nicely, no? The important part is the scaffold; it still surrounds the entire building. Meanwhile, the dwarf army toils away above us normals. But it's important to remember that this will never end - at least not this year. Yes, just as the sun will go supernova in 4 billion years, this project will eventually end. It's just not ending soon.
Seattle is quite a beautiful city, no doubt about that. The Belltown neighborhood doesn’t swing that way. Much of it is downright hideously ugly. If not for all that ugliness, there’d be nothing to see. I’ve lived here for 20 years and I’ve only just started taking notice. Please join me on this odyssey of unsightliness as we try to figure out why poor Belltown looks so bad.
